    With only 20k, that could all be right. At 68k indicated, which from appearances was actually 168k, my left peg was just bare metal and the right peg was badly worn. I picked up a set off a low mileage XJ1100 and have put almost 30k on them and they are showing little to no wear. On an 80 or later, they will NOT have been replaced because the parts are not available in any way but used, 79 and earlier can be replaced because they use the same rubber as almost the entire XS line, but the 80+ went to a wider peg, pretty much shared with the XJ, but the XJ has a metal piece at the end that the XS doesn't have.
