Used 2nd and 5th gears wanted
I am trying to machine the 2nd gear fix using a Super spacer with a digital mill.
I need some used, unserviceable, gears to practice on. I have tried one set from Stan H. however my centering was off and the gears are not usable. I found the right tooling to use and have set the super spacer 1.5 Degrees tilt to get the angle right. Angle on my first attempt was good, interlocking was good but the dogs were off.
Any takers?
If the machining comes out I can put the gears into my XJ and machine my worn gears to return to you, no charge. Should this system work I can then machine others for a minimal fee plus shipping.
Will be much cheaper then the $200+ for NEW gears and be just as strong with the taper fit.
