lookin for a good air, water evaparator for my compressor to paint a few tanks, im not looking for the best on market, but needs to be good enough to paint a tank or 2 without water spots a foulin up my paint job. any home made remiedy will be fine to. i know you can get the little attachment filters to put inline on the gun and so,forth but i dont trust them, had one to leak water out on a primer job on my truck when i primed it. any way if any ideas are out there post them, thanks

Harbor Freight has a filter regulator combo for something like 30 buck. Not the best but does the job for cheap.Nathan

The HF unit isn't that good (I've got one), but if you want better be prepared to pay for it. Try http://www.eastwood.com for a better quality (and higher priced) separator. If you're using a HVLP spray gun, it isn't as big a deal IMO.
I use the smaller 'detail' gun from this set: http://www.harborfreight.com/profess...kit-94572.html for painting bike parts and other smaller bits. The volume/pressure this gun needs is low enough that water doesn't seem to be an issue.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
