I just saw an ad for these Lithium-Iron (not Lithium-Ion) bike batteries in Motorcyclist magazine this month. They are a bit pricier ($186.95) thatnthe WalMart ones, but they claim a longer service life and can last a year without any maint. at all. Anyone used anything like this? They sound promising, according to this thread on the ST-Owners forum.

I mean I check mine about twice a year and top it off, and I just changed from the battery that came in my bike last summer, and I don't know how old that was, but frankly, I would rather pay $40 every couple years than $186 every couple years. It would be interesting to see over time how they hold up (and BTW, hondas have a rep for eating batteries, we use the same one as old goldwings and everybody I talked to said they generally last a year in them if your lucky).1980 XS850SG - Sold

We all know though that there is not much for truth in marketing unfortunately. But it does sound intriguing, I certainly do not want to be the guinea pig thoughNathan

Battery Tender
I recently bought battery tenders for each of my bikes. Caught them on sale at Sears.com for $19 a piece and so far work very well. I originally bought one for my FZ1 because I was having trouble keeping the battery fully charged, mostly from lack of riding. It worked so well, I bought 3 more for my other bikes. My job requires me to be away for long periods of time so this is a good fit for me.

So took her out for a spin and she ran great. But once again something else the blinkers ran out of fluid so pulled off everything massaged it and now they work? Don't you hate problems that fix themselves91 kwaka kz1000p
