Yep, I had the Motion Pro cheap sticks, they all cracked from the heat hanging too close to the engine. The cheap JCW guages work ok, but need to be calibrated with another guage, I use a Mity Vac. Setting them all to zero doesn't cut it.

Still have the mercury sitting in the bottom of the tool. I'll have to take it to our county recycling facility. They will take it and dispose of it.

Most of the gauges I could find locally are around $200 or more and I am told they are the mercury ones and I would like the gauges more con't have to worry about sucking it up in the intake or getting it spilled some where after all I have 4 young kids here.

The Morgan carbtunes will cost about a hundred bucks shipped to you with the pouch. It has no mercury but has steel sliders instead. They are great. It will take ten days to get here from the UK. They are rebuildable if anything goes wrong and can be taken apart to clean if needed. If one wants the colortune is available from them as well. They bundle them all together for some money savings as well. If you can afford them they are simply the best way to go.

yeah I was just looking at the carbtune look simular to the mercury ones but cheaper, was thinking of picking up a colour tune in the summer when I can adjust and rejet the carbs a running temp and warmer air.

What happened to the Mercury? It went to the boneyard with the Fords and Chevys. Actually, it all goes to the same place as the Asbestos they remove from all those places. After they wear their space suits and was it all down carefully, and put it in those double wrapped bags that get marked with red tape and stuff, they carefully take it to the dump where it gets tossed in the same hole as your Krispy Kreme donut box from last week.

All this big worries about stuff. Funny thing about Asbestos is, the readings taken on the average city street corner about rush hour are higher than inside any abatement project.
