Have they been cleaned or flushed at all recently? Might start with a flush if its been over a year since its been flushed.Nathan

Sounds to me like this might be a bit beyond a 'flush'...
The rear brake is probably dragging, and as it heats up, it locks. I'd recommend pulling the calipers and disassembling/cleaning them out, paying particular attention to the seals and the grooves they seat in. As long as you don't have rusted pistons, this should cure the problem.
You will of course have to refill and bleed the system.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Rust in the piston and dirt building up in the o ring groove on the piston. Also in the brake reserviors the spooge holes get blocked up. If you still have the original brake fluid in there and the original rubber brakelines, most likely those lines have decayed and broken down. Particles of dirt will clog the spooge holes. Brake fluid attacts moisture(water) and can cause the piston to rust. brake fluid should be replaced yearly.1982 XJ1100 MadMax-im

I did say start with. If you open the reservoir and its bad, well then its got to come apart. It's just not always good to start off with the bad news.Nathan

If you crack the bleeder screw and the wheel unlocks, then the master cylinder spooge hole is clogged. If there is no difference, then probably the caliper ring seal groove is gunked.2H7 (79) owned since '89
