  • Tail Light/Grab Bar

Are the tail light assembly and the grab bar inter-changeable on the xs850sg and the xs1100sg?

I personally do not know but I do know if you check this site you will find out if the parts are indeed interchangeable.

FWIW.....i 'obtained' a grab bar/tail light assembly off an 850....

      Here is what i found.

The upper shock bolts are the same width apart so should bolt up no problem... the issue is further back on the frame. Where the STOCK turn signals mount ( the flared out round part with the little tabs in the middle)

the mounting tabs on the back of the grab bar do not slip over these...

I myself am planning on grinding down the stock mounts for the turn signals so that the thing will fit...then gotta modify the seat pan to accomodate the bar..

I bit of work, but i think it will be worth it.....since i havent found a decent 1100 special grab bar that i could test fit. We shall see.

If i can get some photos of what im talking about, ill post them.
