  • Leaking gasoline from air cleaner housing!?!

I have a '80 xs1100g that leaks gasoline from the air cleaner housing at low rpms. I think it is a carb problem, but I am not sure. Also, there is a hole at the bottom of the air cleaner housing, and I am not sure it is supposed to be uncapped. It looks like maybe it had a cap at one time.

Sound slike your float needle valves are bad or have a bunch of crud in them. Your vacuum valves must be shutting the gas off when the engine is not running.

As to the air box, there is supposed to be a little filter and a cap with a hole in it there.

And chekc your oil level, it may also be running into the oil. This thins the oil out and it can ruin the bearings.
