  • Fuel Tee

Where can I get one? Fast. I need the one that joins the carburetors.
Is one of these correct for my bike? Look at T3 and T4. XS1100SG

    Thank you!

You want the T4 one; the T3 is the vent nipple (if the parts fiche is right)....

Look up parts 72 and 77.

      Steve,

The parts fiche at the YAMAHA site is what I'm using. Item #15

      What reference for 72 & 77

      Thanx!

Those numbers are off the UK fiche, and specifically for a SF. I used that model as the 'T4' tee was listed for that. The 72 number comes up as also being used on the g, h, and j models (cross referenced and a pic of it; something the 'official' parts site lacks). The 77 number is noted as a 'nipple, vent' and only applies to the E, F, and SF, as the later carbs were vented internally. If you use the UK site and select the h model, part 15 will take you to the same detail page if you click on the part number.

marty, if your issue is a leaky T, they can be 'repaired' using yellow fuel-type teflon tape. It can be a bit tricky, but it does work in a pinch.

                crazy steve,

I'm afraid I don't follow you on these UK site numbers. If you say T4 is correct for my SG, I'll go with that.

                Chris,

This is the only contact I have for you. I need to ride down to Gainesville.

Yamaha is remarkably inconsistant sometimes with their part #s...

The 'T-4' tee is listed as fitting the E, F, and SF bikes, which it does. But the OEM part # listed at their site is only correct for a E; the F and SF models each have different part #s listed on both parts sites for whatever reason. The numbers are close, with the only change being the first three characters; 2H7 for the E, 1J7 for the F, and 3H7 for the SF. But if you go to either the UK site or the Yammy site and look up the 'T' for any of the later models, you'll get one number; the same # as the SF. If you're on the UK site, if you click on the part #, it takes you to another page that shows interchange if any (in this case, the SF number is common to the G, SG, LG, etc, up to the J). The UK site even has a pic in this case. Seeing how the '78-79 carbs are identical to each other, that means the fuel tees are all the same for all years, in spite of part #s.

                  Yeah, it's confusing....

Are those carbs from a '78-'79. I don't have mine to compare, but those look like they might be the shorter version. Look at T3 & T4 in the 1st post.
