    If the carbs are still off the bike, you can get the sync pretty close by following this procedure....

      As to synching after they are back on the bike, a couple links that could prove useful..

      Tool

      I use the plenum shown in that tip, with my mity vac hooked up for the gage. I just use one gage and move it carb to carb. you can substitute it for the 4 meter device in the link below on how to synch them.

      Hope those are helpful for you.

      Note that as the guy adjust the synch from 3-4 how all four carbs are effected. Also note how the idle moves around as he adjust the synch.

        Idle mixture screw adjustment copied from tech tips......

        - warm up the engine and sync the carbs with a mercury tool or vacuum gauges
        - adjust the idle down to approx 700 or 800 rpm
        - adjust one pilot screw out slowly while listening very carefully to the engine sound and watching the tach needle
        - listen for the engine speed to pick up a bit then fall off
        - if it doesn't pick up, adjust the screw slowly in, again listening for any increase in idle speed
        - when you her the increase, adjust past it a half turn or so, then come back to it again until you've got the sweet spot
        - adjust the idle speed back down to your low starting point
        - then work another screw, again looking for its sweet spot
        - each time you get a screw adjusted, drop the idle back down
        - once you've got all four screws set, resync the carbs
        - take one more pass through the pilot screw adjustment for each carb, still working at 700 to 800 rpm
        verify that the sync still looks good
        - adjust the idle back to 1100 or so depending on your personal preference
        - go for a ride!

          Ok, so cleaned the rest of the carbs...can't remember if I told you guys that already...damn being out in the sun all day ha.

          But...umm...can't think...oh ya, cleaned all the grounds and stuff, charged the battery. fell and caught myself on the front turn signal, oops. Put it all back together. Runs like a champ. Gonna have to readjust the idle. set it around 1100, took it for a ride, came back and the idle is a little closer to 1800 now. But will adjust all that the next set of days off.

          Will try to sync and fix the mixture. Don't know that I want to though, its running good lol. I rode next to it on my bike, and it seems like it was kinda noisy, Is this normal? I don't know how to describe the noise, and I am not use to older bikes, I think the oldest bike I have ridden before now was a 2003, and was a ducati, so Im just not sure.
