lol @ your fat fingers....I know the feeling.

Will clean the other carbs today, and will check everything else you mentioned.
Our new issue is that it likes to idle well, but on occasion when you rev it up, the RPM's won't drop. Any suggestions?

I am fighting that too. Could be the cable hanging up or it could be the dirty crabs, or something else totally!

I am glad my fat fingers can amuse everyone!

I wouldn't ride that bike again until I had that Crab thing taken care of, Nate. You could spread it to other bikes....

I don't use other peoples bikes right now, I am working on the treatment though for those crabs.

There is a return spring on each CARB butterfly shaft.

IF the carbs have NOT been synched, they can "hang up" sometimes. This is VERY pronounced when warm.
Once you have ALL the carbs cleaned, follow the procedure on this site and sync them. It probably will fix 99% of the problems.

Gasoline will cure your crab problem, not that I would know. Ahhh, those teenage years.

+1 on the sync, which includes adjusting the idle mixture properly. If the carbs are lean, that will cause a high idle hang when warm. This same issue happens on all the XS models with the BS34 carbs if their lean.

                              They have Mikuni somethings....

Can someone send a link on how to sync them, do I need a special tool? Someone care to loan that tool?

Just cleaned the ENTIRE carb, pilot jets were dirty one a couple, putting them back together now. Will check the throttle cable when I put the carbs back on the bike. #3 is visibly out of sync, but just barely. the rest look like they would be dead on.
