im redoing my 1978 xs1100 and im missing a dimmer timer(i think thats what its called)i dont remember taking it off...do i need this and what does it do...

But there is
Reserve lighting unit
Head light relay
High/low beam switch on left control
All can be by-passed one way or another

dimmer relay thats it..i dont remember taking it off..its wiring location is by the horn..and thats all i know about..Comment

May be what the RLU uses when it switches from a burned out low beam element to the high beam element to lower the power to the high beam.
