Hey didn't slam XSer's just the site. Minor deal. I knew I'd get some flack from them for the post. Had to make them feel better. Those stripes go to their heads. The only thing they missed on the ZRX was a kick start.
After re-reading your post I understand that you meant it is difficult to post a pic here, as compared to the ZX site. I couldn't view it there either, had to be logged in. Why would I want to register at a site that I have no business in?
ricoc and John, I had a browse through their forums too - wasn't impressed either. The site seems to have a big share of 'posers'. Naive teenagers probably. Maybe they're right - the XS site might be full of grumpy old farts!
F#$% them. I figure their colloective can't be that young since it IS an 80's replica bike. Of course its a nice bike, but for a good "lawnch" with no wheelie bars its hard to beat a shaft. I love the leap frog affect
As I suggested a little earlier in this thread, if ricoc can e-mail the jpg directly, I can get it posted so everyone can see it. I have the technology...
(BTW - be sure to include a very definitive subject line. I have been deleting about 20 to 30 spam e-mails a day lately with my new ISP, and pretty much everything with an attachment unless it is very clear exactly who it is from and what's in it. My new ISP isn't running any spam blocker yet and I'm not taking any chances.)
Ok now i have seen it ,im sorry for what i said earlier, very cool mod, guess i should never doubt the skills of anyone who would own an XS ! Humbley Yours; ..................MITCH

Sorry, that's the only picture I have and the bike is a 6 hour drive away. It'll be a few months just like before.
Yes the tank is huge. Especially with the seat so low. Then with the big chrome filler door, it's like looking down the hood of a Buick. I have a tank off a Special that might look a little better. But I figure there are so many V-twins and teadrops out there...I was very anti Harley with I built that.
Somewhere in one of the forums I made mention of the ways you can lower your bike, even sent in a picture or two. Can't find either now, but have not spent much time looking. 1 st move the bottom of the rear shocks to over the axle, and the rake the front wheel out about 6 to 7 inches. Sounds harder than it is and the bike handles very well. This only took about four hours of work with some one that did know what they are doing, As to the strength of the work, I have tested it thourghly, some what like whats his face in the great escape. I will repost a picture or two. Lead dog has the best view, and eats no dust.
