I got one on Ebay a few years back for $35 shipping included. Tested on the bike and it is good so I have wrapped in bubble rap and gallon zip lock bag in the fairing pocket of the Vetter.

That's funny stuff. What makes it even funnier is that it is a 2H7 TCI. While still multiple times over priced, it would seam more realistic if it was a 4R0 or even the elusive XJ box.

I paid less for the bike I'm riding. I'm into it more now but the buy in price was less than half that...

If you look here... http://www.benefiscal.co.uk/partinfo...H7-82305-10-00... his price doesn't look so bad (878 pounds is what, about $1K?).

But I'll agree, anybody who's likely to need a TCI probably paid less for the whole bike, so unless he finds a really anal restorer he's probably not going to get his price.

Its only worth it if someone pays it. but funny natemoen. If this is new OEM someone will buy it sooner or later.....hell three years from now I might if its the last old part on my bike!

Ebay makes their money and always have by people listing items by what the seller thinks it is worth and not by what they think someone will pay for it in these "buy it now" auctions and "reserved listing" autions. And when the item don't sell for what they think it's worth, they still have to pay the listing fees, reserve price fees, and relisting fees. I've watched it over and over and over for the last 10 yrs on ebay in all the catagories and come to the conclusion that this is where most of ebay's revenue comes from. Any completed sales fees/profits are just a bonus! Icing on the cake!
