Cant losen nut.

Im about to restore my bike and im taken it apart.
And i have problem with the nut that holds the swing. as you can see on the picture if you look very close, you see a ring before the nut. I have tried to use force with a wreck but it wont get lose. How do i remove the "ring"

You need a proper fitting socket for the "nut". If you have an air or electric impact tool, that is the easiest way to loosen it. If not, buy a hand impact driver, like you use on cross head screws, and use it. Once the nut is just a little loose, you need to put an allen wrench in the center and unscrew the bolt. The nut is just a lock nut, and the washer behind is should be flat, not bent up.

That isnt a separate ring thats just formed into the nut. I just went and looked at mine and its just part of the nut.

By the looks of the marks on the circular opening where the swing arm pins are found, you are trying to spin out the welded in cups that the pins are threaded into. Don't do that. Remove the lock nut and then the pin in the center of the recess. The lock nut will be very tight so use a 1/2 inch drive ratchet and the correct size socket. The actual swing arm pin, the center part, should be only hand tight and easy to remove once the lock nut is removed.

Now im into next step to remove the engine
