i,m getting about 180 kms before the red light comes on that's when i fill up ,,so its about 112 miles ,,with a good set up this seems to be where these bikes should be ,,ride safe ,,slow mo!

Thank you! for digging up that N.O.S. Service Bulletin advance pot and doing the leg work to find the the differences. I was wondering what Yamaha did with that part. I only have two bikes' worth of used parts to play with but I may have one of those Service Bulletin advance pots on my hands. I know there was less total travel on the '80 advance pot but total advance was at 5.mumble inches like the one in your bike.

With gas prices being what they are I may have to skip Washington/Oregon and The Great White North this year and just go up to Utah, then Colorado and points East and South to finish up the part of the trip I couldn't do last year.-- Scott
