Yikes! I've lost my rear drive bolts!

did an engine swap from the 80 to 79, and in process lost the 4 bolts which connect da shaft to da final drive. Can someone help me identify them so I can run down to the auto parts store and complete my install?

Mike, not sure of the thread size, but they are lock nuts.

8mm x 1.25 x 1/2" should work for you.

AND THEY MUST BE A GRADE "8"!! USE hard bolts, NOT the "cheap" everyday bolts, and they should be 8mm X 1.25mm pitch X 15mm length WITH the "self locking" washer head on them! IF they don't have that, use RED locktite, otherwise I use blue on them.

Check in your rubber drive boot. Some folks put them in that rubber boot so they will know where they are when they get to the reconnection stage. Otherwise as others have indicated, use the right type of nuts.
