Can anyone ID a electrical part without a picture. It is a black rubber coated box about 1.5in long and 1in high. It sits aft of the voltage regulator and has a slot on the top to hook on to the frame. It has Koito 12v6 written on it and has a six wire plug attached. The wires are yellow, brown, bluew/yellow stripe, 2blacks and a blackw/redstripe. I know it is not the emerg light but I cannot ID it. Can anybody help?

Down in gods country, the great state of Texas, turn signals are not required. I always use the old school method..Turn the head, get the offending cars attention and use the appropate arm signal. Have never used the blinking signal as a reliable communication to the 4-wheeled impaired. Tops of gloves have reflective tape for night operations.

Now, technically, it is not legal to remove such things from the bike if it was mfgd with them, but again, if your state does not require them, then who is going to cry foul on it.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

OK say what you want but I have seen people fail inspection for them not working. One of my biggest pet peeves is people not using the turn signal.Had a person turn in front of me without signaling causing the vehicle he hit to hit me.1980 XS1100 SG

Do not mistake information for my opinion. I agree that all bikes should have them. Make no mistake about the fact that I have become a safety nazi to some extent after my accident. I would fully and enthusiastically support a nationwide convertion by all states to a helmet law as well, full face helmet at that. But, alot of them including Ohio do not have them. So.....it is up to folks to be safe on their own.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
