  • Fuel Tees

Found out whats been leaking in my carbs. Scurvy little fuel tee between carbs 3 & 4 is the cause. One option is Mikes XS part# 48-0884, but they are kind of proud of them. Have any members found a fix or a inexpensive replacement? The other option is JB Weld, but that's a little too drastic.

If you do a search you should be able to find a few options for fixing them. I know I have seen a thread over the past couple years on several ways to fix them.

It would be cool to modify one of those brass T's with an o ring slot to fit our carbs.

              I found the problem.....

and it was me. When I reassembled the carb set I put the vent tee set from my spare carb set in the wrong place. That's why you are suppose to keep parts seperated. Oh well, but now I have a great idea for replacing the junky rubber overmolded tees. The ones from Mike's XS are pressed together, but I found a brass barb that is threaded on one end and made to hold a 1/4" ID hose on the other. I am going to try turning up a cross piece out of brass with O'ring grooves on the ends and tap a #10-32 hole in the middle for the barb. I'll let you know how it goes.
