It is a great cleaner and stabalizer for fuel systems. I put it in my tank during colder months (Nov-Feb around here).Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

My bike will get to a point that when I pull up to stop lights, the idle will slowly.. over about a minute... drop until it will finally act like it's got a big lopey cam in it.. then die. I can stop at the gas station about 3 miles from my house, throw in 1/2 a can with a fill up, and by the time I ride it to the house those few miles, it'll be back to purring and holding steady at idle.
I'm a notorious cheap-azz... and I tried everything that was cheaper than Sea Foam, but nothing does work like it does. It does piss me off that they went from $6 a can to nearly $10 recently, but noticed that a local auto parts store has it back down at @ $7. Hopefully they priced themselves out of business at the higher rate and had to come back down. I saw Autozone has a gallon can for $50... and it's tempting. Would be cheaper that way.
Another instance... had a generator I hadn't started for @ a year. I could tell as I pulled on it, the gas was old/varnish smelling. Put some Sea Foam in there with some fresh gas and pulled and pulled.. then made my son pull and pull. .then I did some more. You could smell there was fresh gas getting through, but it just wouldn't start. Next day, was walking by it, gave it a pull again and it fired right up on the 2nd pull. Sea Foam had gotten in there and cleaned things up overnight.
Good stuff, and as good or better as Sta-Bil as a fuel stabilizer.

I had never heard of the stuff until I found this forum, but it does seem to work well. Every time I go into Autozone, they try to sell me some version of injector cleaner at the checkout counter. I just tell them that I don't need it, and that Seafoam is much better anyway! I had one sales lady look at me and tell me not to say that so loud! Even though Seafoam is more than twice the price, it seems they wanted to sell the "snake oil" stuff instead of the right product for the job...1980 XS850SG - Sold

I've never seen it in a spray can, only a metal pint can of liquid.

Do you just point it into the fuel and empty the can into the gas tank?
Does it do any good to put SeaFoam into the oil (or any harm)?
