  • Rear Master Cylinder

I just diassembled my rear master and found a couple cracks in the plastic reseivoir. They aren't leaks, but they are close. Anyone know of a way to repair the plastic part or know of where I can get one?

You could probably get one from member Andreashweiss, send him a PM. I don't think they're available new anymore, but I could be wrong.

Even the parts fiche doesn't list the palstic reservoir as a separate item. Looks like it all came as one whole Master Cylinder unit.

Andreas is great, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a quick fix. If I spend any more money on this bike SWMBO is going to make me sleep in the garage. I just bought new plastic floats, VX920 valves and seats, rear master cylinder rebuild kit, and a set of Dunlop Elite 3's. It's not leaking, so I may let sleeping dogs lie. I have a nice piece of aluminum setting on my bench at work, maybe I could machine one up. Don't really need to see through one to see the fluid level.

For that matter, just put some RTV over the cracks on the outside of the reservior. That way it will not leak down if it does go through, but will not let the stuff get into your brake system.
