      BMW's and Kawasaki's are also 29mm.

Which ones do you need? We have a shim library. We exchange by mail. Only cost is postage.

I've heard the Ford Taurus SHO engine is built by Yamaha and the shims are the same size but come in a greater variety of thicknesses and are CHEAPER.

        AFAIK

          taurus engine shims

          Hi,

I am sure that the early Taurus SHO engines were built by Yamaha, but dont know at what year they changed. Based on the difficulty of obtaining the shims overall, it may very well be worth checking further into it. My dealer wanted thirteen bux a shim as I recall, and stated that reusing others was ok, but didnt have any used ones.

Just remember that Suzuki made a 29.5mm shim, so take a set of calipers with you to be sure. You can't even hold the both together and tell the difference, it just won't quiiiiite fit in the bucket.

Yep, I to got the 29.5 mm shim before, it will not go in. I found a local bike shop that has a complete set of shims and sold me what I needed at $2 or $3 a shim.
