Oklahoma did not adopt mandatory turn signals for MCs until model year 2005. However, in OK, there must be a taillight/brakelight on the centerline of the rear of the bike. (not that that is a prob here, but just fyi)

The rear brake light is a brake light tailsignal combo. The taillight has two round lights the centers are red and the outer ring is amber when switched on.

What is the make up of that exhaust? Stock Headers and some glass packs?

Looks like the rearsets and pegs are mounted to the swing arm, hows that work out? Seem like it would feel weird when you go over bumps and the pegs move up and down. Like the look though, want to do something like that eventually, maybe when I find a junker in someones field, the bikes I've got now are just to nice to modify in a permanent way.

The rearsets are mounted to a 1/8 inch peice of steel welded to the frame. They are from a 08 GSXR 600 and they were only 40$ on fleabay.

Well, it looks neat anyway. Had a 4-1 with a cherry bomb glass pack grafted on it. Top end was outrageous, but it was a bear to get the low end tuned in right with the dead spot. It was a bit loud too, from what the guys behind me always said, after they got over the shell shock from it.

You never heard those baffles I had on my bike in Texas did you Ivan.

They rattled like an old flathead ford with straight pipes on the throttle.

I still got 'em. Kinda miss the sound too.

I didn't really notice a performance change when I changed them other than it's harder to get up over 100.

I got the same taillight on my wife's cafe bike. I actually did get pulled over, but the officer used the excuse that there was too much white light to the rear, from the license light. I think he actually wanted to look at the bike, because he didn't give me a ticket or a warning or make me change it. Cafe bikes rock, expecially XS1100's, because they are so hard to make look right. Meat, get some paint on that thing and it will be awesome!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba….Hunter S. Thompson

these have a rumble to them but they aren't to bad I guess. I might change them to 18 inchers and a smaller bore size in the future if I get tired of the sound. I get them real cheap The cycle shop here in Catoosa, OK is going to sync and check my jetting for 35 dollars .......is that a good deal?

I don't know what to do with the paint......I've thought about painting it with traditional native american war pony paint but that might be a little weird for most people......then I was going to paint it with a p38 lighting paint scheme (green silver yellow). Then I was going to do the natural patinia look to it, but........any ideas? I knew that I read about that light putting out to much light somewhere so I took a little peice of orange electrical tape and put it over the inside half of the tag light and it's perfect. It casts a nice orange glow on the top of the tag as well.

I have guages and can help you sync, the jetting you just need to do a plug read and adjust from there.

You have the older carbs and pods so adjustments shouldn't be a big problem.

OOPS....sorry.....You still running the 80 carbs?.........Not so adjustable.

here's the taillight and another little night time visibility whatchamacallit..... I took a little 3 led step marker from superbrightleds.com and mounted it to the bottom of my bike so at night it casts 3 circles of white light under the bike. It looks pretty cool I did it to my cb750 when I had it and it reflected off of the road and lit up all my chrome at night it was pretty cool.

it's kinda hard to get the full effect in the pics
