Just to be sure, I did a little research. I found this page, describing the installation of the Dynojet kit on a Nighthawk 750. He calls out a 7/64" drill bit. So, I looked on Dynojet's website again, and looked for the kit listed for the Nighthawk 750. That parts list actually calls for the 7/64" drill bit. That tells me that the correct bit for the XS11 is truly a #39 bit.

So, without replacing the slide needles or jets, what other things are you planning to do after drilling the holes? I'm curious, because I'm in a similar situation, and would love to get the benefits of a Dynojet kit without having to spend $130.

7/64 is .109375" which is slightly bigger than a #36 drill bit and .009875" bigger than a #39 bit.

Right. Which means that the drill bit in the kit for the Nighthawk is different than the kit for the XS11. I was just pointing out that the numbering system was not specific to Dynojet, and that we can trust the number 39 in the parts list on the Dynojet website as the correct bit size.
