    front foot rest rubber

Does anyone know where to get replacement rubber for the front pegs on my 1980 xs1100sg? I have looked everywhere I know to look and cant find anything to replace them. Even aftermarket items would be fine but I cannot find that either. I really appreciate any help you all can offer me.

I have found the passenger rubbers but not the front. That was on my long list of things to make a mold for. Laid off at present so don't have the funds to make a mold and produce any. Hopefully this won't last long.

These guys appear to have them. Yamaha part #3H5-27413-01-00.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

Have seen a few of the wide OEM replacement rubber on the Bay.....a bit pricey tho IMO. Been keeping an eye out for a couple fronts myself for future.

You might be able to find a used pair on ebay that are better than yours, thats what I did. I remember reading about a member buying an aftermarket pair and drilling out the pin and putting just the aftermarket peg onto the stock bracket... GL

            Hey marnold......welcome to the forum.

I'm having the same problem. Because they looked so bad, I peeled off the old rubber and replaced it with 1" heater hose for now.

It doesn't look bad. Just cut the hose to length, spray a little WD 40 inside and it slips right on the metal peg and doesn't move. JAT

I did that too. Got a set of good-looking used MNS pegs (all 4) for $13 shipped. I still have the old ones if you're interested. They just have the outer edges rubbed off from going down at some point in the past.
