front foot rest rubber
Does anyone know where to get replacement rubber for the front pegs on my 1980 xs1100sg? I have looked everywhere I know to look and cant find anything to replace them. Even aftermarket items would be fine but I cannot find that either. I really appreciate any help you all can offer me.

I have found the passenger rubbers but not the front. That was on my long list of things to make a mold for. Laid off at present so don't have the funds to make a mold and produce any. Hopefully this won't last long.

These guys appear to have them. Yamaha part #3H5-27413-01-00.I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

Have seen a few of the wide OEM replacement rubber on the Bay.....a bit pricey tho IMO. You might be able to find a used pair on ebay that are better than yours, thats what I did. I remember reading about a member buying an aftermarket pair and drilling out the pin and putting just the aftermarket peg onto the stock bracket... GL'79 XS11 F

Hey marnold......welcome to the forum.
I'm having the same problem. Because they looked so bad, I peeled off the old rubber and replaced it with 1" heater hose for now.
It doesn't look bad. Just cut the hose to length, spray a little WD 40 inside and it slips right on the metal peg and doesn't move. JATComment
