Strom, what is the serial number on your bike? Possibly an educated guess could be made from that and refer to other peoples serial number/manufactured date.
Ken/Sooke
78E Ratbyk
My 84 XJ may not be that old but 1100 Yamaha bikes seem to keep you in the seat. Ratbyk is the big 70 ,i will be 68 in May/04. Has to be the open road.Gotta love it ! bkr
your 3h3 xs1100,is an sf model fromm 1979,it was done in carmine red ,black gold.it was done for the us market only, they did a xs110sf model for canada and the rest but the frame no was 3h4,do not know what the difference was between the two.hope this info has been of use .robbie.
to find out more on your bike rather than me tell you ,go to www.biker.net ther is a section on the xs 1100s for the usa and canada and the rest, just had a quick look on it and it is a 1100e.you will find that parts of the 2h9(which is what i have got) will fit the 2h7, there is side panel on ebay for the 1100e but i am not sure witch side it is on .
I just bought an old 78 XS11 E model and the serial number on it is 2H7000670. The build date is 9/77 It was complete and running when I bought it, but has now become an organ donor. Anybody need any 'organs'?
