Hey Guys,
What is the seal from the plastic reservoir to the metal casting on the stock front brake master... I did not see it on the IPC from the second post link (illustrated parts catalog). I seem to remember that seeping and I used RTV silicon (only lasts for a season or so).
Is it an O ring or a square cut seal.... a gasket? I don't think there is one in the standard rebuild kit.
Are they available? Any good sourcing?
Thanks, KurtKurt

Cap on my front has same issue....very slight as it is just a bit warped(slight arc across center), will watch for NOS one, as it just has an occassional damp at cap sealing seam. Nice to know the source if it becomes an issue!81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

on my SH models, the reservior mounts to the MC by a round section that fits down into the round metal part of the MC. There is a groove in the plastic reservior where it drops into the MC that takes an o-ring.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

There is no parts listing for that O-ring. Best bet is to take the old one to a hydraulic shop and have them match it up. If you do find one, pls. let us know the size for future reference.2H7 (79) owned since '89
