Hello all.....great forum here! I just picked up a ign. switch for my 81 1100 but its all apart. Does anyone have a blow up break down pic i can go by to put it back togethe?

If there's any reason why I keep logging in and reading every single thread/post/reply it's cause sometimes, hidden in plain sight, guru's like you put such jewels of wisdom/knowledge out there for any seekers to find/use.
My usual reaction (this time as well...) is, just where did he find that??!
How do he know all this stuff??!!

That is one heck of a tech tip there Phil!!! Very nice!! Been into one of those several times and never figured out how to get the tumblers out.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

I should put this bit of info in here about the switch.....there is a small white plastic piece that goes in last i think...I believe its for the fork lock....not sure. This piece has a small triangle shape on one side.At this time:

Not yet.....I tried to put it in the base plate that is still on the bike...but it doesn't seem to fit there aswell....I know this came with the switch!At this time:

Got it!!!!!!!!...........Looken at the fork lock mechanism area you will see a silver piston at the bottom of the opening. The piston is in a metal housing with a flat horizontal area above it. Using a flat screw driver push down on this piston housing while inserting the white plastic cam piece. And Bobs your uncel!!At this time:
