OK guys, I was pretty stoked to see that I was able to use a cheapy 2 prong flasher unit I got from Kragens. Not only did it work for the LED's but it worked for the original replacement pair that I wanted to use. I ended up not using the LEDs cause they weren't really bright. Fine at night, but during the day, people may not be able to see me. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to put on the rear fender without scratching up my new paint =(

        Hey guys,

So I ran into something this weekend. I was attempting to change out my front blinkers when I realized that my blinkers are what's holding my headlight in place right? So if I remove them, how can I get the headlight to stay put?

Why would you remove them? You can loosen them to get the headlight bucket off for servicing, but you should put them back when you are done. Be aware of the detent notch where the post connects to the bucket. It keeps the signal post from rotating.

I'm actually planning to replace them, not remove them completely.

              3 options,
              1. put the new ones (blinkers that is) where the old ones were, and they will hold the headlight.
              2. Go to the hardware store and buy some appropriatly sized bolts to hold the headlight to the ears on the forks.
              3. Replace the headlight bucket with something aftermarket that mounts some other way.
