Some idiot broke off the tips of two idle needle bolts...(the ones set by the factory ). I have a 81 sx 1100 sh. It's the ones ontop of the carb opening and has a small spring between the bolt head and carb. body! Are these still around or will I have to count on ol ebay?

They are still around. You can get complete carb kits still from various places.
Georgefix on Ebay sells kits, and MikesXS on the net also sells kits and individual parts.
To be more help we need to know the year and model you own, and what series carbs are on it.Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

If they're bolts......yes, you are in trouble!......joking. Do some thread reading and tech. tip reading here. Easy fix if you READ first. And yes, replacements availible besides the Bay. Someone here will be able to post links, etc. as it hurts my head to have to figure out how to paste all that info for you. Gather info here before you jump in with both feet......will keep you happier and your scoot will like you better for it.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

DO NOT ask them or tell them it's for an XS11, they want to only sell to 650 owner's, and their liability prohibits them from recommending any other fitment!

If the heads are above the tunnel then you have carbs off of a '78 or '79
'80 and '81 have the screws inside the tunnel.
And this makes sense because the late model carbs don't break off like that.
At least I haven't seen that. I have seen broken tips in early carbs though, in fact I am guilty to breaking one off myself.80 SG XS1100
