Having a bad day

while tightening the pinch bolts on the forks I had 41lbs instead of 14lbs in my head and you guessed it snap.

these seem to be a special shear type.
Any suggestions as to where to source some?

Replaced front wheel bearings and they seem very tight.
I only hit the outter races when installing them.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ace hardware should be good for them. Just replace the bolt with the allen cap screw, as it's a little harder than the standard bolt.

Ace has those metric studs too. I assume you're working on a Standard.

yes got some bolts athe the hardware. I was just a little concerned that the stock ones seem to shear when over tightend. I believe its to protect the triple tree it shouldn't be a problem unless I get my torque settings backwards.
It won't happen again.

Oops, misread your post, thought you were referring to the axle pinch studs. Glad you got it sorted out.
