Exhaust: 95mm length

I'll see what I can do. At the moment it's looking like all the valves with the right sized head and stem are either too long or too short. Now that I have the specs, I'll see if I can find other suppliers.

So does that length get measured at the bottom of the valve on the outside edge, or up in the center since it's cup shaped?

And.. the overal length of a valve can be adjusted somewhat, it's where the keepers go that would be critical, wouldn't it?

The over all length of the valve would dpend on where the bucket pushes more so than the keepers correct? Perhaps that is what Tod is suggesting can be adjusted though.

I'm working on that. I think I will need to collect samples to measure so can collect all the data. I've been pouring over all the catalogs I have and everything I can find on the net. It's looking like we would have to to make group purchase for a special order to get what we need. I'll keep researching it and get back on what I find.

The length was measured with the valve standing upright on a flat surface. The length quoted is from that surface to the other end of the valve. Measured in this manner, it's 90.5mm to the center of the keeper groove on the intake and 89.5mm for the exhaust. The groove is 3mm wide. The diameter is 5.6mm at the base of the groove.

Perhaps that is what Tod is suggesting can be adjusted though.

Backwards from what I meant. You can grind down the top of the valve where the bucket pushes if needed, but to hold the proper spring tension and such, the keepers would have to be located pretty close to the stock position. BUT... Yahman answere that the measurement was to the middle of the keeper slot, not to the top of the valve and answered the question. I guess you just have to make sure that when ordering, they are taking the measurements the same way.

There are some Kawasaki off the shelf valves that might work are are very available. PN12004-012 36mm valve from a KZ1000 that's a little short at 91mm stem length. The 31mm exhaust valve from a Kawasaki Bayou is a little long at 99mm stem length.

I'm also contacting valve suppliers to see if any of them are willing to work with me...
