So as some of the guys on our ride last summer know, i had a problem pulling the pass at over 60. The bike would just dog out, and not run higher than about 5000, and would not go any faster in that pull. I have been offered help by a couple of guys, but i wanted to try to remedy this myself so i learn about the bike. I have adjusted the carbs, and resynched them twice. That has nearly cleared up the problem, but there is still a fault at about 7000, but not as bad. There is now a little sputter in taking off, and sometimes about 2000 RPM. I have a feeling this is still in the carbs. I will check my valves next before i go deeper into the carb problem. I thought i had a vacume leak, but could not find one. My synch tool was fluctuation a lot, like a vacume gauge does when there is a valve problem. The adjustment made a huge improvement, but not good enough. Maybe have to have Larry come down when i find out if i need a valve adjust. Maybe a ride to Bend to see Terry, i don't know. Getting closer though guys.
