    left over rubber bits

Ok I pulled the head off to replace the gasket and when I cleaned it all up to get it ready for a little paint before putting back on there are 2 little rubber "bungs" (about the size of the end of a bic pen) laying on the ground.... no idea where the.F..... they came from or where they are 'spouse to go. Anyone help

Does that model have the YICS?
If so it could be 2 of the 4 O'rings that sit on top of those ports.

My best guess is, they're what's called 'absorbers'. Look like black rubber erasers, they fit between the fins of the head. Most of them were lost over the years.

Right now I've got 2 engines with full sets and one with about 1/2 of them gone.

A lot, something like 2 dozen. You don't need them.

I don't think I'll bother to remove them on the two that have full sets, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't worry about it if they weren't there.
