  • Air fuel adj. Screw

    Does this screw put gas into the throat right there where it comes in or does cause suction to pull gas thru the pilot jet....i guess what i'm wondering....do i need gas resistant o-rings on the air fuel adj. Screw........

    Yes, they need to be able to be in gasoline.

      And where is this "air jet-main" thats supposed to be size 140?..........xs 1100 lh....bs34-iii

        The main air jet is a pressed in jet in the inlet bell of the carb. The pilot air jet is the lower left hole looking at the inlet bell, it is a threaded removable jet (Mikuni small round jet).

        Now the main FUEL jet is a Mikuni LARGE round jet and is threaded into the bottom of the needle jet/emulsion tube and accessed inside the float bowl. But 140 would be a large jet for that on a version iii carb that would be stock for an LH.

            If you want to know how the internals work on these carbs, you might take a look at this. It's for BS32's, but it's relevant for the BS34's.
            I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
