i was trying to get a new mac 4-2 but have had no luck. i bought a complete stock system on ebay for $294. (shipping included) and the only rust is on the weld on the crossover pipes. really a nice set!!!!Comment

Will a 79F exhaust fit a 78 2H9?

I believe that the standard exhaust is the same from 1978-1981. And the Special is the same from 1979-1981. But a standard exhaust does not bolt right up to a special, believe me.

Pretty rusty
By looking at the condition of the headers ASK if it has any rust through on the mufflers.
