    The aluminum solder sounds like the way to go. I've tried the JB Weld only, it does work, but it will slowly deteriorate, say over a year. Can't remember if I used the 5 minute crap, or the good kind.

        No bueno on this. I finally got them both on the bench today and the levers are different diameters.


        If I had a CNC, I'd carve some up with the single slot.

        As far as the diaphragm goes, I just replaced it with a gasket I cut out of stock.

          Can I put petcocks from a 79 SF onto the 79 F tank? Are the center to center distances for the bolts the same?

            No, the petcocks from standard and special tanks do not interchange. The sizes are different.
