Pic of new handle bars and a question

Hey everyone, check out the new bars, 15 inch mat black apes. I got new throttle and clutch cable from motion pro and all the other chords all make it save two, the brake line coming from the front forks and the brake cable electrical. The question is where can I get a longer brake line? Just so I can put around my little town I have the front brake mounted near the forks, you can see it on the right. The sooner I can get a new line, the sooner I can mount them right

If you don't want to wait you can lower your standards and go to your local Harley shop. They will have custom length stainless brakelines and fittings. You will usually pay a little more but you get them right away.

Just don't let them see you ride up on your far superior ride or they might not sell them to you..

As far as these ebay hoses, I don't see the lengths listed and I only need one hose. If I'm going to the local harley shop, what fittings do I ask for etc? Sorry my knowledge of brake lines is nil.

If you read on down it says "custom lengths available on request" .

These hoses are built to replace ALL of your stock hoses, front and rear w/fittings and new banjo bolts.

Just contact them and tell them how much longer you need the hose from the front M/C to the splitter to be.

If you go to Harley just take your old hose in with you. They can match it up with the fittings.

Hi Spade,
s/st re-enforced lines are a great upgrade. It'd be short-sighted to replace just the top line and leave the other two.
Take all the hoses off and compare them to the pics on the chart. What you need for the top hose is a hose with the same configuration except it needs to be longer by the distance you have increased the bar height. The lower two should match the length and configuration that you already have.

Check the fittings so that your lines fit the way they should.....

The stock Master cyclinder IIRC exits out the END of the main body. The SS lines that i got off ebay would not have bolted up to the stock M/C correctly. I was lucky. I bought a new M/C and it exits off the FRONT, not the end of the main body, and my line fits nice.




Up that high, see if they have any angled fittings that would allow your brake line to lay close to the handlebars for a smooth as a baby's arse look!!!

Nice. If you don't mind my asking, what did the cables end up setting you back? Do you remember the spec's/fittings/etc that you ordered?

An alternative to a longer brake hose would be to get apes with a wider lower section. Then you could mount the master right next to the clamps. Probably easier just to get new hoses though.

Don't know how the fluid is not leaking out with the MC mounted like that.

.....good seals.

kinda like a with canned tomatoes....when you create a vacuum, liquid wont leak out.....that is the issue with my brakes....no vacuum..air is getting in=bad brakes.
