To everyone who took the time to email a possible solution to my elec. problem, it has been solved. I took it down the coast to the Yamaha dealer. The problem was a broken clip in the fuse box [a fusible link took care of that] AND as this was a Venture model, the wiring harness as it went from the bike to the fairing was rubbing on a part of the fairing mount. Where it was it just wasn't noticeable. Over the years it wore through a couple of the wires. The tech found that and fixed the problem. All these years and I had no idea that the rear signal lights were supposed to come on when I turned the key. Oh sure they signaled but they weren't on like the front ones were. Anyway, it's all fixed, the air in the front brakes bled off. And we're having beautiful autumn weather, still plenty of time to ride.
Thanks again, God bless.
