  • Spark Plug/Resistor Cap Question

    Greetings Fellow XSives,

I am currently in the process (LITERALLY!!!) of upgrading to the Mike's XS Green Performance Coils. Things were moving along swimmingly, thanks to the wealth of information available on this site (Thank you all).

After reading many posts on the subject, I ordered the following from Mike's:

XS Performance 3 OHM Dual Coil - Part # 17-6810
XS Perf. yellow silicone Plug Wire Set - Part # 23-2906
    NGK Plug Cap - LB05FP 5k Resistor - Part # 23-3113

The coil installation went smoothly using the right angle bracket modification mentioned in other posts.

The issue is the spark plug does not snuggly sit in the caps. Am I missing something, or do I have the wrong caps.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chuck Ditta

    chuckditta,

The plug cap you have is for For terminal stud. If you did not already do so remove the top part of the spark plug. All it does is unscrew. There you will see the stud. Then atttach your spark plug cap.

    Hope that helps,

Don't forget to remove the resister and I like to dab a little antisieze on the plug threads and on the top of the plug. Also many here will say I'm crazy but I use the iridium plugs also.
