Hey Guys,
So I recently bought a 78 xs11, and i love the bike even though its been molested more than most porn stars. But the most serious among its long list of issues is that the transmission doesn't like to down shift, some times it will get stuck between gears with the shifter stuck down, then when i pull it back up it goes to neutral and i have to find the gear i need again. (that was a nice shock the first time it happened and i ended up in first gear at 55mph) Other times it will go down gears but it takes some kicking on the shifter to get 2nd or 1st gear. Now for the 64 million dollar question... do i need to replace everything inside the transmission, or is it something stupid and simple to fix, spacer spring ect?
In either situation i struck gold on ebay every internal transmission component with 25k miles.... $37
