Yup, TC ... I knew that they were only offering the black for the Seca and XJ 750s. My thinking behind emailing them was .... "how hard would it be for them NOT to chrome some of a run of headers" ... and spritz 'em instead.?? Got an auto-response already .....lol .... I think the Jardine would probably be a better bet though frankly ... we'll have to wait and see what comes out of the Geez's inquiry.

Rob .. I've heard that one before about the Mac 4/2 pipe but not about the 4/1. Interesting though. I am certainly NOT an expert on pipes ... for sure. I'm a huge fan of the factory exhaust actually. I have a very nice Kerker pipe waiting for a home on something of mine in the garage and I wonder how different the header portions of different mfgrs. could really be?? At first glance it looks like my SuperTrapp ... and almost every other 4/1 configuration except the Jardine. How many really different ways or routes are there to get four pipes over the right side of the frame anyway ??? Full of questions, BS and not too much knowledge ain't I?

Super Trap, Kerker, V & H and RC racing were on the short list of pipes that were designed to increase HP. There may be a few others but not many.
Independent research put Kerker at 10 to 15% increase in HP when jetted properly.

        Very interesting, Rob ..

I don't doubt that there is something behind those short list picks either. Do you recall where the Jardine fell? I can tell you that my G with the smooth bores, pods and SuperTrapp feels WAY faster than my stock F ... maybe it's just the noise from the pipe and pods ... but I think it is actually snappier.

One of these days, I'm going to build some BS34s for it, dump the VM33s put back on the factory air box and then I think I'll have a pretty good way to compare performance differences ... at least by seat-of-the-pants testing anyway.

          Anybody tried these?
Marshall Deeptone 4-1 are no good except if there is nothing else available. The only good Marshall deeptones were the 4-2 system which were already no longer available in 1981
