    I use a spirit level type synch (cheap and easy to make, and very accurate). Its obvious which way you need to go before the engine even starts. Once it gets to where you can start it without the fluid rushing to one cylinder, it is very sensitive, to the point that the weight of the screwdriver on the screw will make an inch or so worth of difference.

      I have seen a couple of times people getting their sync liquid sucked right into the bike. I will be ordering a Mechanical one today.

        Yeah, the last thing you need is a half ounce of ATF in each cylinder.

          I doubt that would hurt it, but it sure would make it smoke. I treated my rings with Marvel Mystery Oil (which I'm pretty sure is nothing other than ATF) last fall. When I fired the old girl up she laid down a smoke screen that could have been used on Omaha Beach .
          I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
