is that a snake in the second picture up from the bottom over the swingarm, that and did he try to fix that ujoint boot or is it just crud on it. also i thought u need fuel shutoff if u took the octy out it loks like they are just dirrect with filters. its also missing those nipple things that go on the end of the sparkplug wire. and is the speedo that dirty or is the glass just fogged from age. Fixed up though she will be a nice bike once agian.

          xs 750 ?

side covers and seat off a 750 special? Front disks are slotted so they are newer than 79. It looks like the enricher rod and lever are all removed and missing other than that they look like 79 carbs . is there 3h3 on them anywhere?

Don't believe the carbs are 79. I have 4 or 5 sets of 78/79 carbs. None of the ones I have have the bracket on the backside of the carbs. I'm not sure they even came off of a XS.

what kind of braket is it, i've read on here about people making them when they installed the pods so the back of the carbs are supported better so it doesn't put anymore stress on the boots. also where is that vac advance line going i thought it went on the num 1 carb body. Another thing on my SF the header pipes cross over eachother but that could have been the 17 year old PO trying to "fix" it. Also i wounder if that little bit of chrome on the hand grips make it go any faster . =O its missing a pod filter to. My SF tank also has a shutoff on both sides. Dont forget to keep us updates on its rehabilitation.

Is that front blinker bracket from the rear of a bike that has bags?

                    Knobs

Uhhhh... Good question. I don't even know what model side covers those are?? Honda maybe?? I'm enjoying all the comments you guys are giving me. I have not done much to it yet but I do know the engine is not froze. It won't be long before I start stripping the ugly off. I am in the process of enlarging my shop right now and once that's complete, it's on!!
