OK, where can I find afordable fork seals? This is for my '79 Special. There seems to be 2 seals per side, inside of the upper tube. I have the larger one, I am looking for the thinner one. I saw them on bikebandit.com but they are a whole $40..... Is there a better place and better price?

    Thanks

They say to get actual OEM seals.. that the aftermarket ones suck.. but I don't have personal knowledge of this. Post the part number and I'll check a few places I haunt.

                  Looking for the thinner seals

I already have the thicker seals that are 10mm thick i am in need of the ones that are 4mm that are labeled as the 'oil washer seals' on the part list. This wouldn't be a problem had my dad not tried to see how much psi my forks would hold..... :/

I can't get the 4mm seals from a yamaha 'stealership'

                  any great ideas?

On Yamaha's parts site, I don't see anything under a 79 special on the forks that is called that. Do you have an OEM part number?

Wow... looks like another one of those "Unobtainium" parts from my search. Maybe somebody else knows of an aftermarket supplier. Sorry..
