    Ken Talbot told me how to use this type of tank emblem:
    I put a set of 'screw on' badges on a 'stick on' tank once like this. I cut the heads off a couple of brass screws and epoxied them into the holes on the badges. Then I used the two-sided trim tape to apply. Unless a person really knew these bikes, you would never tell the difference.

      I had and 81 Seca 550 that I used Grill paint on. I sanded and used several coats but the rust always managed to come through after a while. I wonder if "Powdercoat" would work better??

        I used VHT header paint. Good for 1300-2000f. I sanded the heck out of the headers, then primed them with the VHT primer. Then I used the VHT header paint. The only thing I replaced were the exhaust gaskets.

        IMHO I would of rather of powder coated them. Powder coating is more durable. Due to cost I did not.
