Who did you have do the frame? The closest place I found was in Creston Il. We do some powder coating at work but don't think they would let me bring in the frame.

Yes, all the Special forks 79-81 will fit and those look like 80-81 Midnight Special forks. The forks in the ad are not XJ forks for sure.2H7 (79) owned since '89

sweet... the earlier model forks according to the manual takes i believe more fluid than the 80 up models... is this because of the fork itself or the bikeChris

I have had several sets of Special forks and I usually run 225 ML of either 10 or 15 weight fork oil in them, no matter what year.2H7 (79) owned since '89

proly shoulda cleaned the dust off but whatever...
