Does putting it on its center stand count?

I was probably 40 miles from home, the bike was running like crap, what I didn't know at the time was that I had a pickup coil wire broken, it kept stalling and the battery was getting weak, I got it to start (for what I suspected would be the last time without the help of AAA) twisted the throttle, ran it up to about 5 grand and dropped the clutch in first, wheel came up, I took off like a shot, limped her home and figured out my issue / fixed it. kinda scared me, but it was cool. by the way, at the time, I had shocks off an '03 HD electraglide on the rear, the torque of the drive shaft broke one of the lower shock mounts off the shock ( hence "I HAD shocks off an '03 HD electraglide"). have a nice day and ride safe

I have to admit, I was coming out of the parking lot from work the week before last, and finally felt comfortable enough to really crack the throttle as soon as it was straight after getting out of the parking lot, and if a couple of inches off the ground counts, then yes, I did a wheelie. It was kinda fun, and I never hit more than a little over 1/2 throttle (ok, maybe in the excitement I did a bit more, but I didn't WOT it). I backed off right away and let the wheel come done, and then had to shift around a bit to unstick myself from the seat, as I did NOT intend to lift the wheel, just wanted to push it a bit.

I have to say, I look forward to having an engine in here that I'm not afraid to push (because of the knock). I would really like to see what it will do if I punch it in 3rd and 4th on the freeway (hopefully without any CHP around).

                              wheelie?

A few times on purpose but once by mistake, riding two-up with my wife back in 1982. Cranked too hard on the throttle and the front wheel came right up.
                              She wasn't very happy.
