all i would be running is individual pods....but was also wonderin if there a differance between the 79 and 80 carb if so i was thinking of buying the dyno jet kit

That sounds like a good start on the jet sizes IF you are running the early carbs (78-79). The 80 and up carbs are a totally different animal.

now i heard some people jet the 2-3 cylinder a little richer then 1 and 4..is this true and whats the benifits or reson.

some 80 carbs were jetted that way.Yamaha figured if the two inside were jetted richer the motor would run cooler.Most people like to just jet them all the same.The general consensus is that it doesnt make much difference.

Search where, here at Channel 11, or the web?? What info are you trying to find, can you be a bit more specific?

With just Indy pods, the guide only suggests 2 sizes, so from stock 137.5, 2 up would be 142.5. You probably don't need to go up on the mains, can adjust it with the pilot screw and /or float level!
