occasionally, my 1100f won't go above 3500-4000 rpm's in fifth gear also doesn't have the response or torque it's supposed to at that speed. really sluggish. when this has happened i would shift to fourth and then back to fifth. After i do that it seems ok. only recently it's not been corrected with that little trick. i had it wot and nothing above four grand.
any ideas? i think that it might be a carb issue with the #3 carb sticking. after i pulled out to a gas station and then to a friendly harley guys garage i tinkered with a couple of little things that had nothing to do with the carb and then a backfire from the left side and poof back to normal.
any help with this would be very much appreciated. thanks in advance.
